The rules

The rules (such as they are)

  1. Be kind. Infodumping is welcome; meanness is not.
  2. This place is a democracy: the members elect a president for a fixed term, and everyone with an account has one vote. Anyone can stand. The admins carry out the elected president's instructions.
  3. An op's only power over a person is to move a troublesome one to the banned room — a walled garden where you can still read, still talk to the ops, and still appeal. They cannot silence you or change the rules. Raise anything by pressing 🚨 Summon help or opening a thread.
  4. Banned people can always talk to the ops and appeal. Ops are here to keep the rooms liveable and the lights on — they are not the police, and a ban is meant to be temporary.
  5. Everything shared is public. Don't share anything you wouldn't hand to the whole room.
  6. An op will never ignore something you raise — even if it's said just once, or only in passing. Everything gets taken seriously and looked into. If something matters to you, say it; it will not be brushed off.
  7. Every page of this wiki is yours to edit, this one included. Nothing is reserved for staff. Every version is kept forever, so a bad edit is undone rather than argued about, and a page is only ever locked briefly while active vandalism is dealt with.

If someone is in danger

If you or anyone else is in extreme distress or danger, we will act. When we believe a life or someone's safety is genuinely at risk, we will contact the emergency services or the relevant authorities. This is the one time the community will take what's said here beyond these walls — because a person's safety comes before everything else.

Because of that, please think very carefully before saying anything that might not be true — especially about being in danger or being harmed. Ops treat every report as real, which is exactly how it should be; but a false alarm pulls help away from someone who genuinely needs it, and can bring the authorities down on a situation that never warranted it. Being honest is what keeps this place safe for the people who depend on it.
